Feto-maternal Outcome of Reverse Breech Extraction versus Dis-impaction of Fetal Head in Caesarean Section for Obstructed Labour

Objectives: Obstructed labour is an obstetrical emergency with adverse feto-maternal consequences and caesarean delivery in such cases requires skillful handling of impacted fetal head. Objective our study was to guide clinician about technique that facilitates the least complications for mother baby. Methods: It a randomized clinical trial non-probability consecutive sampling conducted at –removed blind review---from 1st july 2018 – 30th june 2020. Patients who underwent cesarean section were undergo either push head (Group A) or reverse breech extraction method B) via lottery method. The data 60 patients fulfilled inclusion criteria analyzed using SPSS version 19. Maternal outcome measured extension uterine incision, blood transfusion, postpartum pyrexia, wound infection, hemorrhage length hospital stay. Fetal 5 minutes Apgar score, birth weight NICU admission. Results: results showed statistically significant difference between incision(p-value=0.015), transfusion during surgery (p-value=0.021) (p-value=0.020) two groups pull associated less traumatic intraoperative PPH than delivery. Length stay also significantly group(p-value=0.001).More had low 5-min score admissions cephalic group but not significant. Conclusion: recommend be safe alternative conventional vaginal pushing especially regarding maternal outcomes obstructed Key words: labour, head, extraction,
